Wow, he filled Bunny's shoes quite nicely. Really impressed with the entire Third World performance.

So, if I cut dubplates from AJ Brown PRIOR to him joining Third World, do they now become Third World dubplates?

agreed. it was a great set. i enjoyed it more than i thought i might.
man, that bass was hitting hard.

i appreciate that aj sounds like rugs at times, but doesn't try to own it--bunny's own particular sound.
aj has his own sound and vibe; seemed respectful but don't know how much that really goes into thier own effort and intention versus how much i read into things.

great set -- however it shakes out!

Did Third World play their " new single" , an Abyssinians tune , towards the end of their set ?
It was odd to hear them play this cover tune and say to the crowd " check our new single" without giving credit.

Agree with Mkiller, I liked this set more than I thought i would. Obligatory 'Redemption Song" aside, Stevie Coore is f'in brilliant.

remember, most of the treasure isle and studio one tunes are just country remakes.. no credit ever given when phyllis dillion, ken booth, john holt, etc run(ran) through 'their' string of hit tunes..

The sound guys really cleaned up the boards for Third World, every instrument peaked with perfection.

A.J. brings so much joy to the band, his enthusiasm is real and they have done this enough times to have a polished performance.

The drummer spoke to the crowd with his drum, made that african drum the coolest instrument ever, does anyone have a video of that?
