Don Carlos, Frankie Paul, and Ken Boothe in one day? Now that's a quality lineup.

Is the long beach venue still the cavernous arena?

Yes -- The venerable old Long Beach Arena.

Whatever the line-up in Oakland, I highly recommend the Fox Theatre. One of the greatest indoor venues I've ever been to.

There are a bunch of hotels within walking distance from the convention center. The BEst Western is right there and is about 100 per night. do a search at sidestep.com

wow, just found Long Beach Convention Center Travelodge for $55.00/night

better get on it if you want a room close by.

I think Barbara Barabino and Moss Jacobs need to be congratulated on another good lineup for Long Beach. For those few of you who don't already know, there's a Press Conference usually held downstairs in the Hyatt late each morning before the Sat and Sunday shows. It's a good place to meet some of the new as well as returning artists, the Singers and Players that keep the music alive for us all. Respect!

How can my massive collection of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie I, reggae, Rastafari, Jamaica and Africa best serve you? Don't you need some books, vintage periodicals and Medals of Royal Ethiopia? You can see many of my archive items and photos on facebook.

No Twinkle Brothers in Long Beach??? Whats up with that? I see them in San Diego on 15th, Santa Cruz on 18th & @ SoHo in Santa Barabra on 19th.. but not @ Long Beach or Oakland?????
Much respect to Dan w/Good Vibez & Makeda as well, & Club Mercy/SoHo for showing respect to one of the greatest reggae bands ever, & having them play.
Why no respect from Moss & Barbara???? Especially whe they are in the area...
Not to be included in the Long Beach show or the Oakland show is completely unacceptable & disrespectful to some true reggae legends, and some of the nicest & most respectful people/musicians I've ever met. I'm wondering if it is because of money??? & not willing to pay these artist what they are worth???? With over 50+ releases & over 40 years of playing positive reggae music, the Twinkle Brothers more than most, deserve to be included in these festivals, both Long Beach & Oakland... in my opinion.
Long Beach and Oakland are 2 shows I will not support or attend. How can they call these festivals "Tribute to the Legends" when leaving such legends as the Twinkle Brothers off their line ups???
