Tom ‘Papa Ray’, AKA The Soul Selector feels blessed to say “Music is my occupation.” As owner for 42 years of the noted urban Indie store of St. Louis Vintage Vikyl, he in known in his city as both a working musician and club DJ, along with being a long time radio host, promoter and MC in the River City.
His Store has released on vinyl and CD the music of U-Roy, Nicodemus & the Roots Radics, beginning ind 2001 Tom has attended Sierra Nevada World Music Festival yearly and is pleased to once more do an all-vinyl set at what he callse “my musical disneyland,” in honor of the memory of Warren Smith.
