Cuban born
percussionist and vocalist Jesus
Diaz arrived in the United
States from Habana in 1980. He
quickly identified the San
Francisco Bay Area music scene
as the grounds to establish a
new home. His local and
worldwide performances in
collaboration with world
renowned and acclaimed artists
are recognized for their
contributions to the richness of
an ever-expanding musical genre
worldwide.
Jesus Diaz y su Qba was founded
1998 in the San Francisco Bay
Area. Throughout the pass 13
years Qba has performed in many
festivals, including the San
Francisco jazz festival, San
Jose jazz festival, Reno Jazz
festival, Reggae on the River
festival, Yerba Buena Garden
events to name a few. Qba has
also performed at many corporate
and private events.

Qba is a 10 piece orchestra that
features original compositions
based on traditional Afro-Cuban
music with the influence of Funk
and Jazz. This is the new sound
of Cuban dance music known as
Timba
